The trailer reminded me a bit of the french live action one. The beast looks more like that than the disney version, and I think they're using the same plot of one version of the story that has the father stealing a rose for his daughter.

Pretty much every version has the dad stealing a rose for his daughter, barring the Disney animated one. And yeah, my first thought when I saw the beast was that it was a bad photoshop fake promo using the 2014 French Beast.

When I first saw it I thought "well that can't be the final concept art because it doesn't look great".
Haha. Oops.
I always loved how expressive his face was in the old Disney version.

The whole "father stealing a rose for his daughter" is part of the original fairytale, though. I don't know of any versions that don't have that.
