There are already fifty thousand anime out there about boys and men bonding with other boys and men as friends, family, and teammates. I want more stories about women having those kinds of bonds with other women. Sure, I want more stories about same-sex relationships too, but YOI isn't getting any extra representation credits from me after it left that one to hang at a point where it can be read as platonic if you really really want to.

Add to that that it didn't live up to the promises of the first few episodes. The plot is old, there are a lot of troubles with pacing and characterisation, and we all know about where the animation went. I wanted to like it, but the holy Victuuri was not enough to let me overlook those problems the way a lot of other people were able to.

nayrt but... you think there are no anime about there about women bonding? like, what? There are probably just as many female-focused anime as male-focused anime...

Are you really that simple minded or did you simply miss the tons upon tons of slice-of-life school shows with an almost exclusively female casts bonding?
