Rumple is likable.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-04 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
not to me

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
No one asked you

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Rumple has a great actor but he's a villain and the writing has been a mess for him for a long time.

He got way less amusing as time went on.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
He was until season 6 started. For me, Belle and Charming are the only characters who aren't utterly loathsome at this point.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Belle is trying to screw over the father of her child from getting to know his son. She's loathsome.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Based on the information she had when she made that choice, keeping Rumple away from the baby was the right thing to do. If she continues to try to keep him away from Gideon now that she knows the truth, I'll agree with you.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
You joking? Rumple has done nothing to make him trustworthy, especially around children, lmao.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Pffft.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Rumple was my absolute favourite character in S1. Then the rest of the show happened.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, he's still my favorite.

But that doesn't mean he's a good person. He's just interesting.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Nope!

(Anonymous) 2017-01-04 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed. I'd love to have a fairy tale inspired show that was at least somewhat well written and this show was always cheesy but had *some* potential only to squander it all.

The back and forth evil characters, horrible "true love" storylines, and making everyone related... like I can't even tell you how many things started bothering me in the series and I quit a while ago.

MTE! I really wanted to love the show, and mostly did in S1, but now I just pretend it was cancelled after S2.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-04 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
you nailed it. Ouat is one of the most frustrating shows i've ever tried watching.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
It's amazing how a show that was canceled after a single season has maintained such a passionate fanbase for the past five years.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
LOL!

I like Rumple/Mr. Gold. He's the only one who's maintained any consistency.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
I think that's down to the actorCarlyle is pretty amazing, but the last time he was asked what was in store for his character in upcoming episodes, his reply was basically "I have no idea, the writers change their minds every two weeks." I haven't watched the show since season 3 but I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for all the actors to have their work stomped on by the writers' next PLOT TWIST O' DOOM every other episode.

The show needed to end shortly after Season 1 where they actually had a decent story arc that didn't involve bringing in everything Disney-branded including Frankenweenie (the original). (Next season, they do Disney's nature films. Lemmings!)

"No one is likeable in this show"? Have you seen the stage musical, "Into The Woods"? Same things apply in which act 2 makes the fairy tale characters very unlikeable.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Act 2 of Into the Woods makes the fairy tale characters very unlikable?

Unless you think the definition of "unlikable" is "complex, flawed, and three dimensional," you missed the point of that show.

If this show keeps going, I'm dreading the day Jennifer Morrison gets pregnant. Considering the track record of the writers, they would make a Hook/Swan baby plot happen. And that's the most DNW of all the DNW that the show has pulled.
