Textbook torrents?

(Anonymous) 2017-01-06 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Anyone know where I can torrent a good geography textbook? I can't afford to travel (hell I can't even afford a textbook), so I may as well explore the world through a book instead of letting that fact drag me down

Why textbooks? Read some non fiction novels of people's journeys, that will make you feel more like you're there.

Anyone who doesn't like nonfiction wouldn't be asking for textbooks, anon.

I like to go exploring with https://geoguessr.com :)

Not a textbook, obviously, but a fun way to pass the time and you can get dropped in neat locations.

I'm not sure I'd recommend textbooks for self education, unless you really, really love the format. I'm not kidding here, but poke around on Google Maps for basic geography. Even then, if you really want to explore the world, I recommend looking at history/culture books, travel memoirs, etc. They'll give you a far better idea of what a country is like beyond simply where it is on a map.

I can't help with a textbook torrent, but you can check out Seeker Daily on Youtube, anon! Each video is concise, up-to-date, and easy to pay attention to with great speakers imo
