Netflix movies

Any good recommendations for fun finds on Netflix? I pretty much only avoid horror movies, otherwise I watch most genres.

I just watched "Sing Street", it's enjoyable!

I just found this, though I think it's only played on the computer: http://io9.gizmodo.com/outrun-the-demogorgon-with-netflixs-new-video-game-1790931858

Sing Street sounds good, I've liked the director's other movies, thanks!

Netflix originals or movies in general?

Anything that's on Netflix right now. I find I'm very hit or miss with the Netflix original tv shows.

The Jungle Book is great.

I've recently watched (and enjoyed) Cinderella Man, To Kill A Mockingbird, and the Amanda Knox documentary.

Thanks! I think I'll check out the Jungle Book later.

Do you like animal documentaries?

If it's good, I'll try anything.

I've been enjoying Frozen Planet. :O

Ocean Giants! It's about whales. Whales are awesome, ergo this is awesome.

That being said, there are a bunch of David Attenborough docs on netflix, and those are always good!

Leverage

If you want a nostalgia trip, Magic School Bus is on netflix. |D

Forensic Files

Mushi Shi, if you like anime? There's some body horror, but it's not a horror anime.

Legends of Tomorrow is, imo, trash, but I love it. Ray Palmer is my adult son, and it's just cheese upon cheese. I know nothing about the rest of the Arrowverse tbh, I just kind of fell in love with this.

Power Rangers is on Netflix! My favorite season is RPM.

There's 72 Dangerous Animals: Australia! What I liked is, even as they're explaining the dangerous animals, the animals aren't demonized for being animals. Like, there's a shark attack survivor being interviewed, and he was like "oh yeah, it was a shark doing sharks stuff, whatever" (paraphrased), not like "OH MY GOT THE DEMON OF THE SEA ATTACKED BECAUSE IT'S EVIL" or whatever.

Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated is really good, save for a stupid love issue that thankfully goes away by the second half of the first season. If you can get past that, it's genuinely a really good series IMO.

And I just realized you were specifying movies, but I'm going to leave these up as evidence of my shame.

Nah, this is good too. I just find I'm way more picky about TV shows and also don't want to get sucked in to something that is 7 seasons, I just wanted something to entertain me during this snow day.

This list is great, thanks!

If you don't mind short TV shows that happen to be musicals, I highly recommend Galavant.

I'll add it to the list, thanks! (I just didn't want a 7 season show where it's hit or miss per episode, hence movies)

Different anon seconding the Galavant rec, here; the worst part about Galavant is that it was cancelled after two seasons. Watching it on Netflix may help it get more seasons or (I've heard) a possible live action musical.

Anyone know if Zoo is worth watching?

We just watched 23 Blast the other night on Netflix and it was good. I prefer indie dramas to blockbuster action movies and Netflix has a lot of hidden gems on there. April and the Extraordinary World was awesome. We're going to watch Alpha Dog tonight, which is a particularly haunting movie that has stayed with me since I first saw it in the cinema about ten years ago.
