I just do not get why people feel the need to announce into a community that they hate it, but I guess quiet exits are not any fun. To each his or her own, I guess.

And I don't hate the premise of the community. I love Postsecret, but this comm really lacks the artistry and sincerity, maybe due to lack of strict moderation of the secrets. If the mods were more picky about what gets posted, I think people would take more time to make visually and mentally interesting entries.

It doesn't offend me any more than most wankery that I'm presented with in life. I'm mostly noting how pathetic, boring and backstabbing people can be, and over fantasy no less. Reading this comm makes me thankful I'm actually doing cool things with my life and have good, honest friends.

The secrets here are frequently trivial things, but what would you expect from a community with this one's premise? In the context of fandom, people happen to think that these secrets matter. To them, if not to anyone else; that's rather the point, I think.

It's cathartic to an extent, and those reading the secrets also get something out of it. Whether the entries have real substance or not, or are 'real secrets', the comm serves a purpose for its users and that's that.

I think I was just hoping for something more like Postsecret and less like people ranting about other people in the fandom in the least visually interesting way possible. Most people obviously take no time putting these secrets together. Why are they wasting everyone's time with stuff that even they don't care about enough to put a bit of effort into?
