12. I have a BA in English too and today I literally squeed upon discovering that my boss had brought in a cart of brand new children's novels. There's some awesome stuff out there.

16. It's not that he talks fast, it's that he's a Herculean exemplar. And, you know, some people simply match his sense of humor and some don't. Six of one and all that.

51. Verbing weirds words, doesn't it? You know, one of my favorite lessons from my Reference class in library school was the difference between a prescriptive and a descriptive dictionary. Prescriptive attempts to instruct users on how language should be used, whereas descriptive instructs users on how language is used. Which is why "'doh" is now in Webster's.
