Did you play both games? He's one of the deepest characters in them, possibly the deepest.

But then again I spend way too much time psychoanalyzing KH characters with various partners in crime.

I don't doubt that he's one of the deepest charcters in Kingdom Hearts, but consider the competition...

Haha I'm glad to see someone took the lists in the same amusing/cathartic spirit I made them XD

Alas I don't know Maiko fandom well enough, although maybe that's just as well because I enjoy it in canon. I try to stick with the other people who just appreciate it as something fun/sometimes touching and an interesting part of the characters.

Well, I could give it a try:

MAIKO FANS
-Act like they're Special for being the latecomer to the pairing party
-Insist that a dorky teenage romance is epic love from the start...even though it takes them fifteen episodes to go from "first kiss" to "grand proclamations of love"
-Pick apart every scene for ways that it proves Mai is perfect for Zuko
-Turn Mai from an unconventionally handsome girl to a Beautiful Lady
-???
-Profit!

I don't know the Tokka/Taang wars at all. Mostly because Taang fandom seems almost invisible to me, except for all those people who just happen to list it in their profiles and have icons of it!

But let's see, Toph and Sokka have probably my favourite platonic relationship on the show after Zuko and Iroh, and I love them both so much, so let's see the ways Tokka shippers have annoyed me:

-Write angsty fic about how Toph would be so desolate and heartbroken if she didn't win Sokka's heart
-Insist that Tokka must happen in order for Toph to be happy, like, she's not awesome enough on her own? Apparently not.
-Claim that Suki's "not enough of a character" to have a romance, like, who decides who's "enough of a character" to have a romance? Why should it matter?

...and that's about it because I kind of try not to look much at Tokka fandom, I keep fearing that they'll get the relationship so very wrong and I don't want to see that.

Yet somehow I can't stop looking at the ridiculous things Kataang and Zutara fans say, go figure. I guess I'm just not as invested in those relationships. X)

Oh man, heartbroken Toph fic kills me. I personally don't think Suki is "enough of a character," not so much to be dating Sokka but... I feel like they keep giving the wrong kind of fanservice! I know she's a ninja. I know she and Sokka are totally digging on eachother. Now I want to see her do something entirely unrelated to Sokka/Being A Ninja.

I love Suki, but yeah, "dating Sokka" and "being a ninja" are pretty much all there is to her. I'm mostly okay with it because I love her relationship with Sokka and think she pulls off the "being a ninja" part well enough to have a surprisingly solid personality for a character who's been in five episodes, but I would really like to see her interact with people other than Sokka.

Well, she did take care of Appa. That was pretty nice.
