That's why a lot of us love it though. So many parts of it feel more realistic than most other holiday romance movies. Not every couple ending up happy or even together is real. It's something that a lot of us can relate to, whether we like it or not. On the flipside we're still able to live vicariously through the characters who do end up happy.
