When enough people die immediately after announcing heartless bastard austerity policies, and all of the same thing, then I'm sure even the worst Tory government would get the idea. Of course it doesn't have to get that far, just keep track of the candidates for seats and their policies, and suddenly prospective MPs of that turn of mind start wondering if they really want to run for Parliament after all. I mean there gets to be a point when even the Tories will run out of heartless bastards to nominate for power.
