Because moral crusaders have been trying to link sexuality and morality forever and it's all crap? Masturbation doesn't make you go blind. Gay people are not automatically predators and criminals. People with kinks are not automatically bad people.

Not to mention a lot of people in fandom are women and western society has a long history of trying to convince women that anything remotely sexual is awful and wrong and means they're messed up and broken. Chewed up chewing gum that no one else will want.

AYRT - I see your point, but kinks are not all bad. Many of us have them. I get that. It's when the kinks involve rape.

Would you honestly tell someone IRL that you read a non-con fic involving underage/of age characters?

Yup, have multiple times. Usually while other people were talking about that they have a secret furry kink or do DDlg stuff with their husband. Rape kinks are ridiculously common too.

Dude, the "kink" in question is literally kids. Don't compare this to gay people and bdsm or something. There's a reason people get uncomfortable with the idea of child/adult pairings, even if it's fictional, and it's a good reason.

No, the kink in question is consenting real life adults pretending to be incestuous or pretending there's an age gap. The moment actual non-consenting parties are involved it stops being a kink and becomes entirely wrong.

Same, as a gay perosn I'm actually kinda offended. Don't use our struggle to defend creepy porn, dude.
