Yeah, but what about the squash face thing he's got going on? Same with the Lilo and Stitch designs, every single one of them needed a nose job to fix them up a bit.

On the one hand, yes, I don't like Mauni's tiny squished features either. On the other, "needs a nose job" smacks of applying a dominant Western beauty aesthetic to non-white characters. It's the arrangement of the eyes/mouth/brow and the proportions of the cheek muscles, forehead and chin that make it unappealing as a whole, not the shape and size of the nose on it own. For the record, I think the character designs in Lilo & Stitch are much more successful because they are more balanced.

Lilo and Stitch were fat nose and gorilla hands, that isn't attractive by any metric.

Sorry to burst your bubble but noses come in a variety of sizes.

You can blame Chris Sanders for that, that's just the way he draws and it's really not exclusive to any one group of people.

I don't think he worked on Moana but I have a feeling they took influence from him for that film (Disney likes to reuse stuff so I wouldn't be surprised if they used Lilo and Stich to help develop the style of Moana.)

The Lilo and Stitch designs were so fucking cute. I'm glad you didn't get to design them.

Maybe in an uglycute kinda way, but if you like the look of proper animation or proper character design then not at all. They just cannot decide if they are cartoonish caricature or trying to look like real people and hit gonk territory square on.

That's racism, anon
