First you should probably make a distinction between feminism and parts of feminist movement. I mean it's a little... eeeh to go "I won't consider you a full human being with equal rights unless you're appealing to me."

Second the only 'very real issues' I've seen pushed down are things like... when people try to spread false information like how men never get custody and use statistics based on men who don't ask for custody or refuse it as 'proof'.

Third on the other point people keep bringing up, most of the feminists I know deal with female-on-female social violence more than almost any other topic. Like diet culture and food guilt, abusive mothers and sisters, abusive friends, abusive woman/woman relationships, and especially the fear people face when someone takes advantage of "You can't blow the whistle on ME because I'm a feminist/transwoman/queer person because if you DO then it reflects badly on all feminists/transwomen/queer people!" to abuse others.
