I would be so down for this. John Noble would make a fantastic host (I remember loving that "Dark Matters" show he used to host on the Science channel).

Who do we write to to make this happen :D?

YES! Dark Matters was so much fun, John Noble would be great for Unsolved Mysteries...

The stories were just so weird and creepy and interesting! It's always neat to learn about the stranger aspects of history.

Yeah. I definitely think he'd have fun hosting a show like "Unsolved Mysteries". Give the stories just the right sort of gravitas.

Dark Matters was great! I was disappointed the series wasn't longer. :(

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
Same :(. I would love it if they could make more of that show.

I don't think there are enough unsolved mysteries left to bear a new series. We've pretty much beaten all the mysteries out of the world now.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
There are still hundreds of thousands of missing people and unsolved crimes in the US alone.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Ain't really a mystery what happened to most of them though. Hint: Not kidnapped by aliens.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
...that's not what that show was about. At least not the Robert Stack version. I never saw Farina's.

Unsolved Mysteries had sections about the paranormal, but they also civered true crime, murders and disappearances as well. Not sure that attitude is called for.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
but like.....it is a mystery. we don't know what happened

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, what? Not only are there still unsolved mysteries STILL not solved since the series ended (Zodiac, EAR/ONS, D.B. Cooper, identity of babudhka lady, Black Dahlia, Springfield Three, etc.) but there are plenty of mysteries generated since then. Tons of missing persons, the Long Island serial killer, the West Mesa serial killer, Daytona beach killer, what happened to MH370, Salish sea dismembered feet...

That show used to give me nightmares! I would be so down for a reboot, and Noble would be perfect even though I assume he has better things to do with his time. Or maybe not if it's true he's making another appearance on Sleepy Hollow.

I love true crime/unsolved mysteries, but I've never watched this. I probably should!

Did you not hear yet? Amazon is doing something...sort of in this vein. They got the streaming rights to the original series, _but_ they'll be updating segments with any information that's come out about the cases since the original airing.

That's pretty cool, but a total reboot would be even better.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
I agree completely, anon.

Random thought from looking up John Noble's filmography, if he hosted a reboot of this it would mean it has had two Cybertronians hosting it - although calling Unicron "Cybertronian" may be a bit inaccurate.

oh man as a kid I was SO INTO real life mystery/investigation shows like this one, I forgot about that

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
I would love for this to happen.

I'm always looking for similar shows or YouTube videos. I've been watching BuzzFeed Unsolved and the videos by Cayleigh Elise.

Robert Stack is the voice I hear when I read narration in comics.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-13 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
That would be awesome!
