I do not get this whole funko pop vinyl craze. Can't they make the little dolls out of something more fuzzy and warm?

Rather cheap, an easy way to make merch of stuff that might not get it otherwise. See; The Book of Life, Sharknado, Bob's Burgers, and Jupiter Ascending.

I think they are cute. Don't own one, but it is the sort of thing I'd probably put on my car dashboard or something like that. More as a decoration than a doll.

They're fun to collect! Fuzzy warm dolls would be nice too, but funko pops are nice to display. Obviously that's not everyone's jam tho.

They have fuzzy ones! https://funko.com/collections/plush

I have Spiderman and Deadpool ones.

They're so ugly and make me feel weird. Like one of the more visible aspects of "my" subculture is millions of identical plastic dolls with different colour schemes being sold in malls. It's so hyper consumerist.

Actually similar to how I feel about Big Bang Theory.

YEAH! Why can't people collect stamps or rocks, like the good ol' days?

oi, don't diss rock collections. I had pumice, iron ore, pyrite... a bunch of cool ones. They're nothing alike, and finding and identifying them takes knowledge.

Some of them are scented, but that is because they are of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends.

They're cheap and easy to make. (I say this as someone who has a lot of them.)

I hate the cold, dead eyes on these guys, but "fuzzy and warm" makes me think of those weird flocked figures from the 80s.

Someone should bring those back.
