Rocky Horror Picture Show. That movie freaked me out so much as a kid, I still don't want to watch it.

Oh wow, I guess I could see that! I had a fear of quite a few things that weren't meant to be scary, and there's quite a bit going on in that film that might baffle a kid. Or an adult.

It was that sort of (in the real world, totally) rape scene that bothered me the most.

You watched a movie with a rape scene as a kid? Did your parents let you or was this with an older sibling or something?

It isn't really a rape scene. It is shown in silhouette for one thing. Here is the plot summary.

"Brad and Janet are shown to separate bedrooms, where each is visited and seduced by Frank, who poses as Brad (when visiting Janet) and then as Janet (when visiting Brad). Janet, upset and emotional, wanders off to look for Brad, who she discovers, via a television monitor, is in bed with Frank."

It is really hard to explain and I can't find an actual clip. :( And I probably did watch it with my siblings!

Oh, right. I remember now. (I saw it, but years ago.) ANd I can also see how you could see it as a kid and just not... get what was happening. But still be freaked out by it.

Yeah, I was a teenager when I saw the movie the first time and it actually flew over my head until I looked back on it years later. It's an uncomfortable film.

it's not meant to be a kids' movie.
