NAYRT - Was going to ask the same thing. Nonny, were they professional clounts or staff? I wonder if a disgruntled employee hadn't been forced or "encouraged" to be clown for the day and took it out on the kids. Not that it makes it right. :( TBH I actually prefer that theory over someone becoming a professional clown just to say awful things to kids...

I don't know if they were professionals or not, I assume they were because they were hired to do the party. Looking back on it as an adult, going by the way he acted, my guess is that the guy probably did similar shit on a regular basis: he was very purposeful about it, no other adults were around to overhear, and he walked off and went back into goofy clown mode.

My guess (I am AYART) is that he got his kicks from doing shit like that.
