MAJOR SPOILERS: Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events

[personal profile] nonnymouscawitz 2017-01-14 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
SPOILERS For both show and book: At the end of the first episode we see two people in captivity who are heavily implied if not outright stated to be the Baudelaire parents (I am still holding out hope that they are the Quagmire parents. It will still be irritating but less so). The books relied heavily on the fact that the Baudelaire parents (and of course, Beatrice) were dead. It's even used as a plot point in several later books, and the series can't end properly with the parents alive, and I am so frustrated. And will be more frustrated if all this happens just to have them killed so the story can progress properly.
