I love Philip Glenister! I loved him in Life on Mars, but if Ashes to Ashes is the show you're talking about, I wasn't too impressed. I really wanted to be, and it's not Phil's fault. I just can't like Alex.

Holy crap, how did I not recognize that as DCI Sexypants?! I feel like a bad fan now. Philip Glenister is freaking fantastic!
I haven't watched Ashes to Ashes yet, but I'm kind of afraid to. Life on Mars had such an amazing, perfect ending, and it seems like A2A is just...I don't know, a Mary Sue. I mean, I'd write myself in like that in a heartbeat.

I prefer to call him DCI Hunk, but Sexypants works!
I wouldn't have recognized him either if I didn't know the picture that's been blurred.
You should watch A2A, but don't expect too much. Alex is the most annoying Mary Sue ever, and the sexual tension between her and Gene feels very forced. The emotional bond feels non-existent.
And I'd write myself in given half a chance as well.

I know several people who like her, but I can't.
Maybe if she stopped being so incredibly selfish and didn't scream all the time.

I agree on the screaming part, that makes me want to scratch off my ears, but I just like her character, iunno. Each to their own- some people have different views of Mary Sues. -shrug-

I love her, although I do think she could do with toning down all the screaming (though we'll forgive her for it in Episode 8). ;) I love how she argues back against Gene, like she doesn't take any of his crap lol. ♥

I know, that's why I love her~ I loved her even more after she punched Gene. x3 While I really like Gene, I sort of love all the characters equally, and I find her attitude towards him rather refreshing. xD

I personally love A2A, but a lot of that is due to Gene/Philip. Okay, almost all of it is.
