Are people not allowed to express irritation and annoyance without prefacing that this is only their opinion/they are not trying to control people's actions/etc?

Clearly. Never said they weren't. Being irritated about one behavior in another fandom that you don't mind in your own fandom seems a little indicative of a 'they're having fun over there and I don't like it' attitude. Which, again, is just silly.

"I mean, you could just let people enjoy things, OP. That's almost always an option."

In your very first comment, you're implying that OP isn't letting people enjoy things. Maybe that's just poor phrasing on your part, but you should probably own up to it, if so.

It was a flippant, cheeky comment, not a dissertation. Pardon me for not taking time of FS to write one. I think I explained by thoughts on the matter pretty clearly in subsequent comments.

It was an obnoxious, rude comment, but you explained that you're an asshole pretty clearly in subsequent comments.

First time being called an asshole after being here almost 10 yrs. I must be leveling up. Though I feel a bit cheated that I wasn't even actually being an ass.
