in the last few years I've only had access to very small bathrooms with almost no storage. I add a rack over the door for some extra storage/surfaces, but even then I pretty much just keep stuff related to bathroom activities in there - shampoo, soap, toothpaste, pads, etc. Jewelry and nail polish stay in my bedroom.
