Re: "Separate Friends"
(Anonymous) 2017-01-16 03:33 am (UTC)(link)I have very strong social phobia too, and struggle to make friends, but thankfully I've never had this anxiety.
My BF naturally sees and talks to his friends more than me, but I still know most of them and feel comfortable hanging out with them. It would be unhealthy if I was always a part of his interactions with them, but that's just not how it is because we have separate lives.
Right now you feel like you only have one irl friend, and I think that's more worrying. Even if you really get along with one of her friends, it sounds like she'll still have others that are "just hers" and you'll probably feel more socially confident. Win win.
