Um
(Anonymous) 2017-01-16 06:12 am (UTC)(link)Anyway, Keanu Reeves. I don't think he's unpopular exactly, just a lot of people seem to think he has very limited acting range or is stupid. He does have a very blank resting expression and a slow speech cadence which, I think, contributes, but I think the real issue is that his role in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure sort of cemented in a lot of people's minds. Now, do I think there are some roles that haven't suited him? Yes, but for the most part I've enjoyed many of his performances.
I like Gwyneth Paltrow's acting, some of the other stuff she does, I'm a little iffy on.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-16 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)The worst one was his southern accent in The Devil's Advocate, mostly because on top of being a terrible southern accent it was also a completely unnecessary southern accent. Dude was supposed to be a Gainesville, FL native. Anyone in Gainesville with a southern accent is probably from Georgia.
