No idea. Or this weird... "If you know someone who smokes weed, they'll try and peer pressure you into doing it and be all aggressive!!"

I had a friend in HS who smoked it. Asked me once. "No sorry, I'm asthmatic, probably not a good idea, thanks." "Oh! Sorry, I won't smoke around you then!"

Like... not everyone is a bag of dicks.

I literally grew up around pot. I've been asked a couple times if I wanted a hit. I've been offered blunts before. I just go, "Nah, I don't smoke." And they just pass the blunt to someone else. OR if I asked them to smoke someplace else (I hate the smell of pot), they go outside of something.

People are WAY more pushy about alcohol. You don't drink!? Why not!? Are you some kind of puritan lol!!!!!! Relax and have fun!!! Wow!!! A non drinker!!!!! What if you have just one?????????

Nobody tried to pressure me, but almost all the weed smokers I knew just got really aggressively defensive when I'd say "no thanks" to being offered, like they assumed that the very fact that I didn't smoke meant that I judged them for smoking. I never judged them for the smoking, but at this point I judge them by assuming they are going to be "a bag of dicks" about me not smoking.

That's just in real life, though, if someone else brings it up to me. I don't get involved in marijuana discussions on here (except this one).

Yeah I have not noticed people being pushy about pot. I think they're even less pushy about pot than alcohol, and I don't think people are that pushy about alcohol either, though that might just be my circle.

That said, I do think there's some people whose lives seem to kinda revolve solely around pot. They won't push it on anyone else or anything like that, but it seems to be all they want to talk about or spend their days doing.

Which, to each their own and all that, but I can see where that'd get kinda boring and old to some people after a while.

That's just confusing to me. It sounds utterly boring. What do you think/talk about when you're high? Just more talking about how awesome pot is? There's only so much that can be said.

Yeah, that's been my experience with pot too. I have lots of friends who smoke and they know I don't, so they get baked outside or blow smoke in the opposite direction. They sometimes ask if I want a hit, but don't get offended or anything when I say no. Alcohol's a different matter. People find it really hard to believe I don't drink and get kinda pushy and judgemental about it.

I'm also asthmatic and the offered to make some "Brownies" and asked if I wanted to try a few. So that was the only time I tried it.

I'm not one of the people who is upset by pot in any way, but personally, almost all the pot smokers I hung out with in HS were pushy about me trying it too. I never felt bullied or like they would be mean to me if I kept saying no. But They were definitely of the mind that if they kept saying, "Dude, come onnnn," and trying to pass me joints, I would eventually try it and love it.

(I eventually DID try it, a few times. But I hated it every time. So.)
