Right? I remember asking her about a certain scene in an Ibsen play regarding the pronunciation of the Norwegian word for "duty"-- a character says the word is cold and sharp to her. And yes, the Norwegian word ("plikt") sounds sharper than the English translation, and she had some other cultural context saying it meant more like "law" than "obligation." Definitely added to my understanding of the play. ♥ making_excuses
