I love this movie, but I agree. It's like watching somebody and knowing how things are going to go, but wishing they'd go differently anyway. We don't want Titanic to sink. We don't want Snape to join the death eaters, we don't want Harry to run off to the ministry and straight into Voldemort's trap.

But we know it's coming and will be a good story, even if it's not the one we wanted.

i had no idea what was coming, though. never read a dan brown book before, so i was meh about how it turned out.

Me neither. But they had built up McGregor's character so well and made me like him so much, that I got at least a bit suspicious towards the end.

in the book his character (who actually was called Carlo Ventresca but they changed his name to a irish one when they cast Ewan lol) was the biological son of the Pope, too.
