It looks restrictive and and I like being able to move around freely.

It's bad enough it's not usually socially acceptable to go barefoot.

I'm all about being barefoot indoors. Home, work, buses, shopping centers, but this world contains too much gravel to make it feasible outside.

I walk to work barefoot a lot. It's about a mile, and the small park right before I get to work is actually worse than the hot asphalt roads or rough concrete sidewalks or gravel alleys or even the occasional broken glass. They don't usually have bees hidden in grass, you see.
