Re: What is your ideal vacation (destination, length, things to do)?

Ideal vacation: long distance trekking or hiking. I like the pace of walking, the mix of solitude and meeting new people, being outdoors, and sense of simple accomplishment it brings. I find it all relaxing.

Ideal weekend: Maybe a mix of being out in the woods hiking with my dog, and lazing about in bed/on the couch reading.

That is awesome. I wish I had the fortitude for long distance hiking. But I've never been much for the outdoors. Have you been on any really long hikes before?

Yeah, I've been on a few. Two that were about 300 miles and one 6 month long trek about 3,000 miles (give or take). If I could just figure out how to get someone to pay me to do these things I'd be living my dream! lol

Adventure blogging is an actual thing that you can get paid for. Check youtube: those channels have millions of subscribers (especially ones that feature local food).
