I've always read New Moon that way too. I read the books during the height of of the Twilight hate and found that they weren't as terrible as they were made out to be. There were a lot of problems and it wasn't good by any means but people act like it's the worst book ever and I didn't find that to be the case. It was readable and some parts were even enjoyable.

It would have been a better story if she had gotten with Jacob at the end of New Moon. I honestly kind of thought it would go that way for a little bit the first time I read New Moon.
