DB Abridged is just the name of the series. Which they have been doing for the past ten years.

That would only make sense if people actually did the thing you're talking about, which they don't. It's "Harry Potter: FB" or "Rowling's FB".

So... this is either really sketchy English or sketchy knowledge of the source.

Who... cares...? That's the right title, everyone knows exactly what the secret is referring to, and if they didn't then they wouldn't have recognized TFS to begin with.

You know what's worse?

Not giving credit where credit is due.

To me, crediting the right person under the wrong name is different than crediting the wrong person, especially when interested parties can easily and immediately discover the correct name.

Are you saying every time someone lists a movie in a secret they have to name the director, or else they're not giving credit? They said DBZ Abridged, which is what it's from; that's the fandom.

This is ridiculous.

This is such a weird thing to get butthut over.

Everyone who's been following DBZ Abridged knows who's making these videos, and calling it jsut Team Fourstar's movie doens't clear up the confusion of people who hasn't heard of the series. But call it "DBZ Abridhged" and even people who didn't hear about it will be able to figure out what the secret is referring to. More people have heard about the Abridged parodies than about team Fourstar in particular.

I gave credit. Do you get mad when a show is listed by name instead of by writer/producer/director/whatever else?

Only when the creative team regularly has their work stolen/shared without credit.

Just on the off chance that TFS wasn't credited because someone did repost an uncredited video, I did feel obligated to correct that.

And you chose to express this concern in the manner you did (read: obliquely) to the secret maker who may or may not have been watching an uncredited video, because...?

I didn't expect people would be abnormally salty about it, or even bother to comment on it actually.

OP here and seriously you really think I don't know that Team Fourstar makes it? They also make other things. DBZA isn't their only product. Ergo, since that's the only thing I'm talking about, that's what I cited.

Anyways while I'm not really a fan of "triggered" jokes, I'd be lying if I said I never laughed at one or two.

OP again. This one I found hilarious because it was funny while still using the term correctly. SO many people sling it around at the slightest things, and then other people do to make fun of them despite turning it into a punchline, and it seems like the actual meaning is lost and becomes mockworthy no matter how serious it is. And this was, as I said, a character actually being triggered.
