...and furthermore, if Eve was technically made out of Adam's rib, wouldn't she have close enough DNA to him that she'd count as related anyway? I mean, on a certain level I'd even consider it a variation on masturbation... /overreading the Bible for pr0nish purposes

Well he did. I'm convinced somebody else knew and did not bother to do anything about it. And enough people, social services etc. looked away to let it go on this long. That doesn't make it outright approval, but tolerance (not sure if that's the right word).

I fail to see how getting off to fictional incest, presented in a context of complete and utter fantasy on all counts, is the same as approving of it IRL.

And be careful what kind of wide, sweeping statements you make. 'Incest' has different meanings for different cultures.
