48. Forget the actual death scene. What always socks me in the gut is the reunion with Rafiki. "Your father is alive!" That always struck me as more than a bit cruel. And then the ghost in the night sky and... *wibbles*
That movie was one of the most epic things ever. It was also my introduction to the reality of death. I think it left a lasting impression on all of us who grew up with it, so reactions like yours are hardly worth keeping secret.
