24) I'm not a Zutara shipper, but it's people like you who have me rooting hard that Katara ends up with Zuko. I'd rather hear the Zutara fans celebrate an unexpected plot twist than the Kataang people gloat over their ability to predict the blindingly obvious. Actually, I hate it when fannits like you turn fandom into a freaking contest. In fanfic, ALL ships are equally plausible, and everyone should be able to ship who ever they like, with whoever they like without people insulting their tastes. (PS -- your other ship? That's true fandom spirit).

54) What a complete creep. RPing sex with a 12 year old is not on. Not on at all.

58) I was so spoiled with FMA. It's a great fandom full of really awesome people -- good writers, good artists, good discussion, and best of all very little ship wars!

24. I'm still pretty ambivalent about canon!Zutara. I'll ship it no matter what. But considering the way various contingencies have been set up, the creators will have to tear open a plothole the size of Ba Sing Se to make Katara Aang's Forever Girl. And I'd rather not see that happen to such great writing, you know?

If I were writing Avatar, I could easily come up with a way to make Zutara work naturally in the few episodes there are left. Yes, even with Mai. Even with Aang. But I'm not the writers. And I'm not psychic either. And Avatar isn't reality and doesn't have to be ruthlessly logical and lack plotholes.

I do believe that they had their endstory firmly in mind before they wrote the first episode -- long before there was a fandom to please. They had to have in order to get the long natural deeply nuanced story arc they came up with. I don't think there's even a smidge of danger that the writers will deviate from their plan, no matter what one vocal segment of fandom wants or doesn't want.

I hear you about wanting canon Zutara though. I prefer my ships not to become canon. As a shipper you get into the problem of having to accomodate canon details that can sometimes be stifling, when before you could just slap an AU label on and write the story that wants to naturally come.

Amen! FMA was my first, and has been pretty much my only fandom, because the wonderful people and their wonderful talents have spoiled me, too. Anything else I look at just isn't quite the same.

It was hard for a long time to enjoy fandom. I still can't go back to it. I mean, now I'm a perv (must be a teenage thing) and I'm constantly trying to keep all the new kids on the sites I go to away from anyone who would try to take advantage of them like I was, but...still. Thanks, though.
