I can see how that would be annoying but at the same time you don't have to love everything someone does to be a fan.

Is there a way you could filter out some of the posts? I know it's your friend but sometimes for the sake of a friendship you don't need to read every single thing they post/can take a break sometimes. It's not a bad thing to want a break from a friend, we are all human and we all are perfectly capable of getting annoyed with one another.

What's the point of going ~vague in your secret then labeling the secret Nsync anyway?

Going by the 'wait?..'Nsync, seriously????' Comments, I'm guessing the fandom's with the exception of Justin, is one it's last legs. That in combination with the constantly used tag and the fact that the secret describes the friend as being a major figure in the fandom plus her constant interfighting, by naming the singer, it could be an obvious tell for who the secret's about.

...of the OP didn't think something through...

There's someone in one of my fandoms that irritates the shit out of me, too, although we aren't friends. She's a total know it all, tries to "correct" people's opinions (someone will say "oh, I think Character A's motivation for doing [whatever] was X" and she'll say "well, actually it was because of Y" like that's a fact when there was no canon explanation given), tells people how horrible they are for disliking characters she likes and for having issues with particular actors (one said racist shit to some fans, and the other seems to just be kind of an ungrateful, whiny sort of person in general), constantly jumps all over people for minor shit like failing to properly capitalize acronyms or deliberately misspelling words or using the wrong word for a joke/pun...she's just a total pain in the ass.

Most people in the fandom seem to ignore her and a few seem to if not like, at least tolerate her, but I'm curious if anyone else dislikes her as much as I do. But of course you can't come out and be like "hey, does anyone else think she's annoying as fuck?" because that'd probably be considered bullying and just isn't really a nice thing to do in general, but...anyway. I know how you feel.

It's actually been 15 years since they went on "hiatus".

But, to be fair, there are a few things that ended in 2002 that are still kicking around - X-Files and Firefly (though they both had later movies and X-Files came back last year). Star Trek: Voyager ended in 2001, though Star Trek ever endures.

But honestly, cut her loose. She's not worth it. Take it from someone who befriended someone out of spite and deeply regrets it years later. That friendship became the most bitter, toxic thing I've ever experienced. Get out while you can.

I don't think you're wrong to find this person annoying. But I do think it's kind of wrong of you to keep acting like a friend to this person's face (figuratively speaking), when in reality you actually don't like her. I mean, it's not like you have to shut off all communication or formally break it off with her. But you can still be polite to someone and respond when they speak to you without actually doing things that perpetuate the friendship, you know?

On another note, No Strings Attached was an awesome boy band album, and I regret nothing!
