Yeah, she had not been well for a long time. Diabetes, I believe. (Not sure if the reasons for her death are in the provided link.)

She managed her diabetes really well, though, and was diagnosed decades ago. It was type 1.

I'm SO sad. She was such a part of my childhood (Mary Tyler Moore show was my mom's favorite). :(

Same here. I grew up watching the show with my mom. Such a classic series, and she was brilliant on there. Same with her role as Laura Petrie on "Dick Van Dyke".
