Good dreams, weird dreams, bad dreams...do tell.

The last one I remember was one where Kilgrave from Jessica Jones was my evil dad and I had to keep moving to different places to escape him because he would keep finding me. That was not fun, let me tell you.

But I had one a few nights before that where I was my husbando and I had a sex orgy with the Crystal Gems, so that balances it out.

Yesterday I dreamed that I was walking past Sears. A woman who had bought a lot of large items (strollers, wheeled baking racks, etc.) had just finished packing them into her SUV and was getting ready to drive home. I glanced inside before she locked it up. I was so impressed with how neatly she'd arranged everything that it woke me up.

That sounds incredibly satisfying.

We have this kid in my center that has epilepsy, grande mal seizures. I had a dream the other night that I walked in the room at the end of nap time and he was just laying there. I crouched down to talk to him and noticed he was glassy eyed, so asked him if he was okay. He said no. I got him off his cot and into a safe spot on the floor and then he started having a seizure. The rest of the dream was me counting to keep track of how long his seizure went. Then there would be a break, then he would seize again. I remember we were on seizure number three and I was at 45 seconds when I woke up. Not a restful night's sleep at all.

Thankfully that was three nights ago and it has not been prophetic!

Just stressful work dreams. :(

Last night I dreamed that I looked like Mae Whitman and zombies had taken over the world and I had to parkour up a parking complex to get away from them and there were also humans that were chasing me to for some reason and then they finally caught me and it was Dean from Supernatural and then he raped me, except was off camera and all I could see was my face...

I hate bad dreams. Waking up and trying to adjust my brain to the fact that none of it was real is so fucking weird.

I've had dreams about getting into bar fights, win some lose some, but always violent bar fights. I've actually woken feeling really refreshed, although I'm not a violent or fighting person in real life. Weird.

I was with a friend in some jungle type place somewhere. One of our mutual friends had been kidnapped by some gangster/terrorist guys, and a couple of other people we knew were mysteriously missing, although no one knew for sure what happened to them. There was a vial of blood (no idea why) found in the grass that we somehow knew belonged to our friend, and some signs of a struggle, then a bunch of people ran up to us and we were like "I can't believe what happened to Mike!" and they were like "don't you mean Billy?" and we were like "oh, yeah, of course"...except his name is Scott. I have no idea what any of it meant.

I had a dream I broke my collarbone trying to rescue an envelope from destruction at a beach during a hurricane. Then I went out to lunch with my father in law and he cried (very, very, very uncharacteristic), but it turned out to be because some actor he liked died.

For the past couple years I've been dreaming on a regular basis about a high school friend I've gotten distant from. In the dream, we always rebuild the friendship. My psyche is not being subtle, but in waking moments I don't think we'd actually be very good friends these days.

Yeah same, I've had a lot of dreams about high school friends I'm no longer in contact with. Most of those friendships did not end well, so I dunno what my subconscious expects of me...

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I have this odd recurring dream about once a year where my cousin, who has Rett Syndrome and cannot communicate, will be sitting next to me and just turn and speak. Usually something really simple, like "Hi." or "Could you get my mom?" but it's always so weird because other than that the dreams are 110% realistic.

When I don't get enough sleep I dream of spiders. The dreams wake me up and I get even less sleep. It's an awful cycle. I'm an accountant, and this is our CLUSTERFUCK time of the year, so lately my dreams have been full of spiders.

Sometimes my little dead dog wanders into my dreams. I like it when that happens, because she's always happy. Always. It's the best thing.

I dreamt a high school acquaintance with whom I'm Facebook friends saved me from an attempted rape and then took me to his church which was super weird with like high chairs and public judgment and I was thankful for him helping to save me, but I was also SUPER uncomfortable that he'd made the attempted rape public knowledge amongst my loved ones & his congregation. Even more disquieting was that the congregation expected me to admit fault and embrace the shame. There was also a swimming pool in which fun was to be had after the acknowledgement of shame. Just all around weird.

It was a night where I was catching up on a lot of sleep, and I went through enough REM cycles that I had this dream & another weird one about my parents that I forget because this was like two days ago. I feel like I always have my longest, weirdest dreams whenever my brain's catching up on sleep as a means of repairing itself after extended sleep deprivation.

A bunch of nightmares because I'm super stressed right now.

Some fun dreams involving Thor or Legolas or Ginny Weasley (not even sure about that one because she isn't a character I've been drawn to in the past).

And then some weird ones I can't remember. Just a whole bunch of nonsense that makes no sense.

Oh, I had one last night where I got to pick an alternate universe to move to, and each one was one of my fandoms.

I keep having dreams that I'm working at the old job I had over 10 years ago. I'm curious as to what it means. The dreams are always pleasant enough, nothing really happens in them, nothing bad ever happens in them. It's kinda strange I guess.

I either dreamed I had an episode of sleep paralysis, or I had one.

I remember laying in bed and someone came in and stood beside the bed and started patting at me through the blanket like they were trying to feel out how I was laying there. I remember thinking "Huh, I can't move or yell or anything so this has to be a night terror*, not something real. I hope I wake up soon." *I meant sleep paralysis, but I kept thinking the word for it was night terror.

But then the next thing I can remember was dreaming I was a detective who needed to track down the creep coming into people's bedrooms and patting them.

So.. either I had sleep paralysis and then fell back asleep and my brain tried to incorporate it into a dream, or I dreamed I had it.

Much more pleasantly, I recently dreamed I was an ice skater (I blame too much YOI) and remember just how real it felt to be effortlessly gliding and moving on the ice. In reality I could barely stay upright and inch forward the last time I got on a rink.
