How I Met Your Mother spoilers

(Anonymous) 2017-01-26 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if there's anyone that hasn't finished the show and wants to, but...

Ted/Robin. To me it seemed obvious all along that the show was never really about The Mother, it was more about the whole group just hanging out and getting into crazy situations, but if it WAS about a particular relationship, it would be Ted/Robin just because no matter how many times the show told us they didn't/wouldn't/couldn't ever work, they always went back to them no matter what. So I think I'm basically the only person on the planet that wasn't shocked by and didn't hate the ending lol.

I wasn't shocked, and if the show had ended at season 5 or even 6, I would have been on board. I just think the last few seasons went in a completely different direction and showed how they were unsuited. And even if they'd stayed with what they had but shown in some way at all that Robin had any sort of romantic feelings for Ted, I would have been fine. Not loved it, but I would have accepted it. I just don't think there were any instances where we were shown that Robin had any sort of lingering romantic feelings toward Ted. She just didn't feel that way towards him.
