Re: Have you ever used AirBNB or similar services?

I've only used it once, and then only because my friends insisted. It was alright. Not too expensive, in center of town, clean. Pretty much what was promised. We had asked the host to give us an extra key, bc there were 4 of us and we might want to split up, and he failed to deliver on that. It's small stuff like that where I think I do prefer hotels tbh. Because there were towels like he had promised, but you can't always count on that like you can with a hotel.

My brother often uses AirBnB and he says it's very hit-or-miss. One time you'll get a gorgeous place all to yourself for practically nothing, other time you get a tiny room in a horrible flat with hosts who don't want you there, or the place will be amazing but you'll wake up the next day with bug bites all over.

To be fair, I'm very cautious, partly because I think traveling is a hassle to begin with. So I'd rather pay more for an actual hotel room and be sure of what I'm getting, than risk it to save some money.
