I've had good experiences sometimes, also sometimes not-so-good. Never bad, mostl just minor problems like the AC doesn't work well or the host didn't stock extra rolls of toilet paper or something.

I prefer hotels, tbh, even if it costs more. I'm no good dealing with people that much, since sometimes there's like breakfast with the host or somethings and there's some expectation of talking with them. I like just being able to check in and never speak to anyone again.
