Why not start your own ~~~~~interesting~~~~~ thread then, rather than being an asshole about this one?

This was a few years ago, but I was at wedding where the bride unironically walked down the aisle to Ginuwine's "Pony", because it was the song that was playing when she and her husband met at a club.

Any of those upper middle class white Englishman goes to some foreign (to them) place and then is completely patronizing to the locals under the illusion he is being nice type of shows. I catch one every now and again on tv, and they are always so super cringey.

I met one of those in Texas years ago. What an insufferable prick.

My own memories. My brain likes to play repeats of my most embarrassing and shameful moments over and over again, all day every day. The only way to make it stop for a moment is to mentally kill myself.

I've learned that a lot of my fans (I am a content creator) are very socially-awkward and are definitely outside of my desired target audience, but there's nothing I can do about it.

I have a chatroom where they can interact with each other, and it's gotten to the point that I very rarely join in the conversation because 99% of what they talk about is unappealing. It's not like I can just kick people out of the chat for being "cringey," because that would be really shitty on my part, but I'm so disappointed these are the kinds of people who like the content I create. It makes me want to just quit creating things.

You should start messing with them by addressing their cringey attitudes in your work.

A boy about 3-4 years old and his mother came to our store. The kid was told he could have a chocolate egg and he picked out one that had a pink wrapper. His mom threw such an enormous bitchfit over that, berating the poor kid and demanding he exchange for a different wrapper colour. In the end the boy was left without a treat because he didn't want to change (from the look on his face he probably didn't understand why he had to).

I had a coworker, "John," for a year whom I was friends with but....let's say he personified the Napoleon Complex stereotype. Very short man, very headstrong, didn't like to take direction. His supervisor was/is legitimately unsuited for her job and is not good at it -- not a bad person, just in way over her head, and she knows it. And she's not an asshole -- she doesn't act like she knows everything to overcompensate, she is rather very timid and hesitant to actually do anything because she's afraid she'll screw up. This pissed John off to no end, but I sympathized with both of them -- I would hate to work for that supervisor, too, but goddamn, John could be annoying.

One day John and I were walking to lunch together and he started complaining that his supervisor was frustrated with him for not following procedure. First, he said she had "yelled" at him about it, which I interpreted as, "she had spoken firmly to me about it, without raising her voice," because I know her and he mischaracterized her like this a lot. AND THEN he made the "whipped" sound and gesture. GAH.

I cringed so hard inside I had to look away and change the subject. He had no idea how weak that made him look, like he's such a big fucking baby he gets defensive the moment someone (HIS SUPERVISOR FFS) gives him any negative feedback, and then he goes and does this gross sexist thing in front of me, like he thought I would be on his side. UGH no.

Trolls who take any mildly negative response to their comments as proof its the other people who are overly "triggered" or whatever.

No, you're just annoying and people wish you would shut up.

I hate romcom-type humor that's entirely based on someone being humiliated, especially if they don't know they're being humiliated. I always just want to cringe and look away.

Forever and always mine will be hearing someone at a Castle panel ask, essentially, if anything they'd ever done on the show caused them mental or emotional trauma.

Cringey because
1. What a rude thing to ask, and
2. They're actors. It's make-believe. They're not really facing dead bodies, being terrorized by killers, dealing with a murdered parent, being shot at or plunging into the Hudson while tied up in a car alone.

I occasionally have grotesque flashbacks to my high school junior year choir final, which was to work in small groups to write a 5-10 minute musical and perform it not only in front of the class, but the school board.

I was teamed up with two completely lazy assholes, and I, at the time, was also a completely lazy asshole, so needless to say we did nothing, confident we could just...idk, fake it when we got up there??

Long story short, we all ended up panicking and singing a discordant, somewhat mocking song about the vice-principal (who, granted, was a douchebag, but probably didn't deserve that lmao) before staggering off in silence. Oh god, I can still hear the absolute shitkicking we got from our teacher. The only reason she didn't flunk me outright is because I was an otherwise stellar choir student, the other two didn't fare so well.

This was years and years ago, and it still haunts me. Goddamn. I'd go back and apologize if any of the old staff was still there.
