I hate this whole goddamn administration... but then, I kind of figured they'd be doing plenty to evoke that feeling in me. And I am stunned by the number of people who genuinely believe that this is the way to protect the country. If literally zero people from the banned countries have killed Americans over the past 40 years, what the fuck are we protecting ourselves again? Is it a preemptive thing? I can't tell at this point.

But for some reason I suspect they went through with this because they know they couldn't really get away with it... and that it would make the next thing they do (likely the thing they really want to do) not seem so crazyballs. /tinfoil

It's a move to appease the voter base and exercise power/white supremacy, IMO. Notably countries Trump has business ties to are not being hit.

...you also might be onto something with that last bit. Wonder what that would be though. (do I want to think about it??)
