What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?

What is the best?

Grossest: potato salad

I really can't pick a favorite food. Too many.

Grossest: hard boiled egg that was in potato salad and I didn't notice and ate it. I loath most eggs, but hard boiled are the worst.

Best: caramel. I love lots of things, but nothing beats the taste of caramel.

Worst: Chitlins. They are definitely an acquired taste.
Best: Peruvian Chicken we had in DC. That stuff with its sauce was AMAZING.

Was it from Crisp & Juicy? Because their chicken is fucking delicious.

Going by other people, eating that four day old pizza that's been sitting on the kitchen counter for the entirety of those four days. Or my love of the stinkiest, moldiest, softest blue cheeses available.

Foods that've made me gag, though? Made liver and onions one night, and liver is already something that I only tolerate because Mom loves it, and to my horror we got a grizzly liver. There isn't much worse than liver grizzle. Even the dog didn't want the liver grizzle.

Best food... there used to be a steakhouse at the Las Vegas Hilton, and it made the most amazing dover sole with a lemon butter banana sauce. Holy shit, it was like a full-body orgasm.

Do you mean gristly/gristle? I was genuinely impressed that you ate a grizzly bear liver for a second there...

ACK! Yes! Gristle. Grizzly liver would've poisoned us, though, and would definitely be up on the top worst foods list.

worst accidental combo: gorgonzola with turkey and cranberry (don't ask, it was an experimental thing)
worst unintentional meal: well, I'm the anon who posted about the cod with a dead worm in it

best: baked sweet potato with grass fed butter, Himalayan salt and fresh cracked pepper. Homemade minestrone, toasted sourdough with garlic-infused olive oil. Or most homemade cheesecake.

There aren't very many foods I dislike enough that they're difficult for me to eat.

Liver is the main one that comes to mind. I suspect head cheese would be another one, but due to its disgusting appearance, name, and components, I've never actually bothered to try it.

I also have this weird thing about greasy meat. I like most meat well, enough, but sometimes mean gets this weird taste that I associate with it being greasy, and perhaps the grease getting burned or something? I have no idea what causes this particular taste, but it seems to be particularly common with some types of sausages. And anyway, this particular grease taste is absolutely disgusting to me. Like, I avoid buying frozen pizza with sausage because if the sausage gets that weird flavor I will have to throw away the entire pizza.

French fries that had been fried in rancid oil and were served cold and soggy. Yuck. Likewise the Brussels sprouts that had been boiled to within an inch of their lives and were skunky-tasting and full of water.

I ate some broccoli that was so fresh from the field it had a caterpillar in it. That was yummy. :(

Vegemite is literally satan's smegma, scraped off into a jar for human consumption.

Best is hard to say. Maybe steak.

Grossest: soup beans, AKA "bean diarrhea soup" as I call it.

Best I've ever eaten: unagi nigiri sushi oh dear god that stuff is amazing, at least to me. Gimme cooked freshwater eel on sushi rice with a nice belt of seaweed and it's the bomb diggity.

I hate brussels sprouts, but a mealy peach, so far, is the only food that can actually make me gag.

Grossest: Chef Boyardee Chicken Noodle Soup. I had it when I was REALLY young, but I remember it tasting absolutely disgusting, like bland, slightly thick chicken water. I literally gagged and threw up when I ate it.

Best: This one's hard. Anything with a steak in it would be considered "best" to me.
