What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?
(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 12:49 am (UTC)(link)Re: What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?
(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 01:01 am (UTC)(link)I really can't pick a favorite food. Too many.
Re: What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?
Best: caramel. I love lots of things, but nothing beats the taste of caramel.
Re: What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?
Best: Peruvian Chicken we had in DC. That stuff with its sauce was AMAZING.

Foods that've made me gag, though? Made liver and onions one night, and liver is already something that I only tolerate because Mom loves it, and to my horror we got a grizzly liver. There isn't much worse than liver grizzle. Even the dog didn't want the liver grizzle.
Best food... there used to be a steakhouse at the Las Vegas Hilton, and it made the most amazing dover sole with a lemon butter banana sauce. Holy shit, it was like a full-body orgasm.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 01:37 am (UTC)(link)worst unintentional meal: well, I'm the anon who posted about the cod with a dead worm in it
best: baked sweet potato with grass fed butter, Himalayan salt and fresh cracked pepper. Homemade minestrone, toasted sourdough with garlic-infused olive oil. Or most homemade cheesecake.
Re: What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?
(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 02:08 am (UTC)(link)Liver is the main one that comes to mind. I suspect head cheese would be another one, but due to its disgusting appearance, name, and components, I've never actually bothered to try it.
I also have this weird thing about greasy meat. I like most meat well, enough, but sometimes mean gets this weird taste that I associate with it being greasy, and perhaps the grease getting burned or something? I have no idea what causes this particular taste, but it seems to be particularly common with some types of sausages. And anyway, this particular grease taste is absolutely disgusting to me. Like, I avoid buying frozen pizza with sausage because if the sausage gets that weird flavor I will have to throw away the entire pizza.

Best is hard to say. Maybe steak.
Re: What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?
(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 03:41 am (UTC)(link)Best I've ever eaten: unagi nigiri sushi oh dear god that stuff is amazing, at least to me. Gimme cooked freshwater eel on sushi rice with a nice belt of seaweed and it's the bomb diggity.

Best: This one's hard. Anything with a steak in it would be considered "best" to me.
