Back in the day, no one gave much of a shit if you didn't know CPR or speak 3 different languages. Now they do. Plus, kids can be brats. The cost of living has gone way up! If you expect me to watch your children for a few hours (or be your PT or FT nanny), be certified in CPR and know some First Aid stuff, possibly do your laundry, cook meals, take your kids to after-school activities then you'd better be willing to pay more than $9.00 an hour! You can't get something for nothing!
