Adulting:
-- Work (if you're able)
-- Pay taxes
-- Don't break laws

If you can follow these simple rules and still want to read nothing but fanfiction, then it isn't a problem.

And if you happen to be one of those Power Adults who has other responsibilities like relationships and kids and Things That Are Important To You, then you should probably pay attention to those things. And if you can do all of that and still read nothing but fanfiction then, again, it isn't a problem.

It isn't a problem just because the only thing you want to read is fanfiction.

Uh, reread the comment you replied to:

* productivity has plummeted
* not getting enough sleep

It's already a problem. This isn't about fanfic being bad or inferior, because this would be true regardless of what the activity was. This is about how a hobby is taking over too much of OP's life and interfering what what they need to do, such as work and sleep.
