It may not be tied to anything that's happened to you, but it may be related, if that makes any sense? Like, a couple of months ago, I kept having dreams about being in a car accident, which made no sense because I neither own a car (I walk/take the train everywhere) nor know anyone who has been in a car accident recently. I was totally baffled until I realized that I'd had the news on in the background one night when I got some bad news and the top story had been about a major car accident that had happened nearby, so my brain tied that news story and my own bad news together.
