I know I'm late, but yup. And the stuff he brings her? Things that could be spun either as a guardian protecting his ward or a suitor gifting his future bride (like a fancy new kimono). I like to think it was done that way to make both the father/daughter and shipping camps happy.

I ship both Sesshoumaru/Rin and Sesshoumaru/Kagura, so I have shipper goggles, but they're not on painfully tight. :)
