I don't think he's heterosexual, either. I think he only had sex with Charlotte out of his own desperation, since Guts left him. And I also think he was never capable of loving a PERSON, that he was too power-fixated, and Guts was the strongest of his warriors and when he left him, Charlotte became his new stepping stone.

I'm also a hardcore Guts/Caska shipper. SORRY.

Okay crap, I apologize for this but I really have to ask: who the heck did the art in your icon? Because I think that is seriously the best face I have ever seen anyone draw on that guy.

Oh yes, I ship Guts/Caska like a maniac, too. I completely think it's one-sided on Griffith's part - in the sexual sense, at least. (I mean, come on, the scene where Griffith invites Guts to bathe with him in the courtyard? How was that not a come-on? O.o)

But saying that he never loved anyone because he was too power-fixated... I think that's missing the point. If it had just been about power and losing a powerful soldier/being defeated, he would have been so crushed at Guts' departure. He even admits during the Eclipse that the only person who could distract him from his dream of the castle was Guts. If he had never cared for Guts, then it wouldn't have been such a hard decision to sacrifice the dude in the first place.
