(Anonymous) 2008-05-07 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)If you hone your skills (as far as SSBB goes, it IS a button-mash-fest after all but it does take SOME ability) for weeks, it's not uncommon for somebody who picks up the first time to use Pit and then beat you. He doesn't take any skill-- while there are some people who can actually use him well, the vast majority of people use him because it's almost impossible to lose with him.
And as for ugly, it's all relative. I just don't find him appealing in the least. His face looks really, really weird to me and I can't explain why-- it has nothing to do with his popularity (at least at first, I admit that I'm starting to harbor a dislike), I've disliked his appearance since he was announced.

except that one time I ended up as Wario, but that's just because I'm bad as him xD. Pit's got his weaknesses just like any other character- I play as him sometimes, and I know I've lost. :)And the ugly thing is a matter of opinion, I suppose xD I find him cute because of his stance- he looks so eager and excited :D To each their own, though.
