48 - Allowing yaoi/slash fandom to influence your opinion of real-life gay couples/individuals is, to put it frankly, stupid. While this is in not way true for all yaoi/slash fans (perhaps not even true for the majority of them), there are many people who have taken certain stereotypical roles and characteristics and... blown them out of proportion entirely. Long rant short, fandom yaoi/slash in no way parallels real life.
