Or other countries. Swedish 16th century have invading Danes, a massacre of important noblemen, an uprising, a new total dynasti, kings who semi-forced Young noblewoman into Mariahs, a handsome, but crazy king who proposed to Elizabeth of England, but ended up Maries a giirl sho SAS dirt poor. His brothers imprisoned him, and, most likely poisoned him. And that was just a quick round up of the first half, or so.

And I forgot the unmarried princess with the sex scandal.

If you wanted Scandi culture on the screen then you should have spoken English during your history. Neat sweaters though.

Sweden really should have spoken English during the 16th and 17th century. You know, like they did in France. Aren't we happy over that, otherwise we would never have had Reign or Versailles....

True, Nonny, and not just in France, but Italy too, as can be seen in The Borgias. Of course, English was the spoken language in Scandinavia during the Viking Age, but then they insisted on giberish knstead. So, sorry, there will never be any TV shows with anything else with vikings who knew how to speak.
